Summer Caashaq – A Summer’s Afternoon of Love Themed Music, Poetry and Stories

Nitro Present Summer Caashaq – Love themed Music, Poetry and Somali based stories

After June’s Successful Oh! Caashaq at Oxford House, NITRO THEATRE and KAYD team up once again to present SUMMER CAASHAQ, in association with Tilt, Spoken Word at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green, London on Sunday 7th July.

Caashaq are our love-themed events of music, stories and poetry inspired by the Horn of Africa that is part of the Tales from the Edge programme. They give you a little taster of our upcoming production set on the coast of Somalia! For this Caasahq we’re making it a family special with performances and activities all the family can get involved in. The parents can sit back and enjoy an original Afro-Punjabi fusion of music while the young ones have fun getting their faces painted, enjoying Kayd’s book stall or trying out some new African games!

We have a fantastic line up once again!…and did we mention, it’s free! Read the rest of this entry »
