In collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, Kayd Somali Arts and Culture invites you to Somali Book Fair Day. This lively and popular annual event attracts writers from across the globe to showcase their work, interact with each other, and share their new publications with the audience. All Somali writers who have published books are welcome to set up stalls and sell their books, giving the Somali audience unmatched access to the latest publications. Some of the artists who will be presenting their work include: Sayid-Ahmed, Shamsa Shegow, Dr. Jama Musse Jama, and Muhiyadin Husein Eid. 

Sayid-Ahmed Dhegey is an author and editor based in Sweden. Among his works are "Taariikhda Somaliland ka Hor 26 Juun 1960" and he will be presenting his latest book, "Taariikh Ku Saabsan Guriga Dariiqada Sheekh (1850–2000). Shamsa Shegow, an author and environmental activist will be presenting her book, GEELTOOSIYE (Vulture Man). Dr Jama Musse Jama, director of the Hargeysa Cultural Centre in Somaliland, writer and academic will present the work and scholarly legacy of Hussein Mohamed Adam ‘Tanzania. In Honour of an Extraordinary Scholarship. Muhiyadin Husein Eid is an author, publisher, editor, and a regular presenter at the SWF. He will be presenting the English translation of his latest thriller, Qorismaris, with translator Nur Mohamed. 

This Event will be chaired by Boodhari Warsame.
