Prof Ali Jimale

Ali Jimale Ahmed is a poet, short-story writer, and Professor of Comparative Literature at Queens College and CUNY Graduate Center.

Dr. Ahmed is both a creative writer and an academic critic, and his work has been translated into several languages including Japanese, Bosnian, Danish, and Portuguese.

His research traces the Somali literary tradition as it shifts from oral to written forms and Dr. Ahmed himself is a great storyteller, both on paper and in person.
